ROAD CLOSURES FOR 22nd LIVERPOOL WOMEN'S 10K.
SUNDAY 11TH MAY, 11.00AM, SEFTON PARK
.

The Liverpool Women's 10K and 5K road race will take part in and around the perimeter roads of Sefton Park on Sunday, May 11th. The event will attract around 4,000 participants and comprises a 10K as well as a 5K distance. There will also be a 1 mile children's Fun Run within
the park starting at 10.00am.

The roads affected by the event will be -

Ullet Road for runner access to Sefton Park Car Park via Croxteth Drive.
Ullet Road will NOT be closed to vehicles but expect delays from either end (Aigburth Road or Smithdown Road) due to the high volume of traffic accessing the park before 11.00am.

The roads surrounding Sefton Park -
Croxteth Drive, Mossley Hill Drive, Greenbank Drive and Aigburth Drive.
These will be the only roads directly affected by the race and they will be in use between 11.00am and 1.00pm.

Runners will use the park side of these roads only.

Residents will be be able to exit the park area via Aigburth Road in a
clockwise direction at any point. Anyone wishing to return may do so at any time but MUST travel in a clockwise direction. It is requested that the roads are not used whilst the race is in progress and vehicular movement be considered for other times of the day. This is to ensure the safety of the runners.

Residents on Mossley Hill Drive between Greenbank Lane and Ibbotson's Lane will be able to exit and return without interruption although it is requested that vehicular movement be restricted to before or after the event.

Greenbank Lane is unaffected.

Residents along Croxteth Drive can exit via Greenbank Drive / Smithdown Lane at all times. Again, please try and restrict vehicular movement to before or after the event. The safety of the runners is paramount.

There will be no access onto Aigburth Vale via Elmswood Road on the morning of the race as there will be no through traffic allowed onto Aigburth Drive on the day.
