'Liverpool Unites' is a campaign that began as platform for the
people of Liverpool to demonstrate that they will not tolerate gun
crime, and show their support for driving through legislative changes
to laws surrounding gun and gang violence.
Inspired by the moment Everton and Liverpool fans united in respect
for Rhys Jones and his family, after the 11 year old was shot on his
way home, the city's famous colours, red and blue, have been combined
to produce a purple colour which is central to the campaign. It is initially committed to raising £100,000
for the Rhys Jones memorial fund, aimed at building a community centre
in Croxteth Park. |
'IMAGINE'
is the name of Alder Hey's charity - a fundraising initiative that
helps us to continue our pioneering work, caring for the health of over
200,000 children and young people per year. Every donation we receive
will help us to achieve a little bit more, from researching medical
conditions, to buying vital equipment - with your help, IMAGINE will
improve the lives of children worldwide! |
