 Alder Hey Children’s Hospital is the largest in Europe, caring for more children than any other hospital in the UK.
Ever since we were founded in 1914, we have led the way in the care of sick children, and the Trust now treats more than 200,000 patients every year. Proud of our history and committed to building a future, Alder Hey is at the heart of a huge community. Of course, where there are children, there are families and friends to be considered too. Alder Hey has the friendly atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome, even at difficult times.
Making a difference
There is nothing imaginary about Imagine. Our work really makes a difference to the day to day activity at Alder Hey, and that means thousands of children benefit every single week.
Bumped heads, broken limbs, chronic illnesses or cancer – whatever the condition, it means distress for children and uncertainty for family and friends. That’s why Imagine is so important.
 What is Imagine?
Imagine is the name of Alder Hey’s Appeal, a fundraising campaign that helps us to continue our pioneering work, to develop facilities and to offer the very highest standards of care to our young patients. Every donation that we receive enables us to achieve that little bit more, from researching medical conditions to buying vital equipment, to building a better environment and providing facilities for families. Imagine helps us to do as much as we can to improve the quality of life for children in hospital, not only here, but throughout the world.
