Mersey Tunnel 10K - May 30th 2010
Another Great Race Day
Over 2000 runners took part in today’s Mersey Tunnel 10K. What started out as a blustery, cool day in Liverpool turned into a pleasant, though still windy day on the front in New Brighton.
With good crowds both at the start and the finish it all helped to create a good day for the runners.
The First Male home was Stuart Stokes from Sale Harriers in a time of 32:29, closely followed by local runner Richard Burney from Liverpool Harriers in a time of 33:01, very closely followed by Simon Mills, again from Sale Harriers in a time 33:04
The first female home was Jenny Clague from Liverpool Harriers in a time of 36:17, followed by Kirsty Longley from Liverpool Pembroke Sefton in a time of 38.04, Catherine Draper from Liverpool Harriers came in third in a time of 39:08

We believe some people experienced difficulty with Merseyrail and the free travel, we can only apologise and say this was something that was totally beyond our control
Also we were told that entrans were told they could park in Pall Mall for free, this was never the case and again we can only apologise for something that was beyond our control.
We hope the problems didn't harm your enjoyment of the race too much.
We hope to see everyone back next year!
